Cluster Feeding

Cluster feeding is when your baby eats lots of little meals close together. For example, your baby eats at 7pm but is hungry again at 7:45, 9:00 and 9:30, then eats on more time before bed at 10:00. This usually happens at night when your baby is gearing up for bedtime, but it can also happen throughout the day.

I want to assure you that this is 100% normal! Especially in those first 4-6 weeks.

Will it last forever? No.

Do I recommend working on stretching those feeds so they get a full feeding before bed instead of small snacks? Eventually.

But as long as your baby is getting enough calories and having plenty of wake time during the day, you can still have success with sleep training!

So while you’re waiting to stretch those cluster feeds (again, around 4-6 weeks), don’t stress over it:)

If your baby cluster feeds, know that he/she is 100% normal, healthy, and perfect just the way they are ❤️

HAPPY SLEEPING!
