3 Tips for Reducing Holiday Stress with Babies

Can you believe the holidays are already here!? Where did this year go? If you're anything like me (well, the old me), you start to get a little bit stressed as the parties start taking over your calendar, knowing your baby is going to be missing out on lots of sleep.

But did you know that it doesn't have to be that way? Really, you get to decide how your holidays go. Mind blowing, right!?

I used to be the biggest people pleaser and said yes to EVERYTHING, only to have my baby be overtired, sick and run down after party hopping during the holiday season. Luckily, I've learned a lot over the years and now I look forward to the holidays again. It's such a great place to be.

Here are 3 things that I've done to set boundaries during this season so that I can not only protect my own sanity, but my baby's sleep/well-being as well.

  1. Know that it's okay to say no. I promise, it really is.

  2. Map out the month ahead of time so you can plan for early bedtimes and extra naps.

  3. Do what feels right to YOU and your family. If it's overwhelming, pass! Not worth it.

I hope this holiday season is filled with the people you love, lots of happiness, and lots of SLEEP!
