Adjusting for Daylight Savings (the week after!)

Did you forget about Daylight Savings, and you are wondering how to get back on track this week? I’ll tell you how you can help your baby adjust to the new time change.

Normally I would say to move your baby’s schedule back by 10-15 minutes for the few days leading up to the time change, but don’t worry at all! This same change can be made the few days after the clocks have turned.

Simply move your baby’s schedule back by 10-15 minutes per day this week, even though the clocks have already changed. A few days into the week, you will be right on track again!

Example:⁣

  • Monday: bedtime 6:15pm⁣ (feels like 7:15 at first!)

  • Tuesday: bedtime 6:30⁣

  • Wednesday: bedtime 6:45⁣

  • Thursday: bedtime 7:00⁣, and now you’re on track!

You can also adjust naps the same way so their entire schedule shifts. Are you ready for daylight savings?

Happy Fall!
