Your Baby's Sleep Does Not Define You

I had a consultation last week where this sweet mom felt like a failure every time her baby didn’t follow the schedule to a T.⁣⠀⠀⠀

Woke up early from a nap? Felt like a failure. ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀

Didn’t fall asleep quickly at bedtime? Must be my fault. ⁣⠀

Isn’t sleeping through the night yet like my friend’s baby? Mom fail.

Not a Reflection on You

You guys. This couldn’t be more far from the truth and I want you to hear me loud and clear:⁣⠀⠀⠀

Your baby’s sleep does not define you as a mother. ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Read that again. ⁣⠀

Babies are going to be babies! They will still have unpredictable days/weeks/months or even years (toddlers, anyone?!).⁣

Be flexible and consistent at the same time. Adjust when and where you need to. And always remember, YOU are the perfect mom for your baby.

If you are struggling with sleep and would like some 1:1 help, schedule a consultation with me today!

Focus on Your Strengths

When those hard days come, focus on the things you DO have absolute control over, since I’m sure you’re doing the best you can to teach them how to sleep. I believe with every fiber of my being that each and every one of you is unique, special and NEEDED.⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀

We all have strengths to help others who are weak.⁣ We all have weaknesses to rely on others’ strengths. ⁣⁣

It took me years to realize I could help other babies how to sleep. I really thought everyone did this!⠀⠀

No matter what it is, you are needed! By your babies, your partner, your friends and total strangers. ⁣⁣Dig deep. Find that strength. And then use it for good.

You are exactly the mom your baby needs. Don’t you ever forget that!

I’m rooting for you!
