Boundaries During the Holidays

Did you know that it's totally okay to say no? Seriously.

If you don't want your baby passed around at the Christmas party, say no.

If gathering in a group of 30 people feels too overwhelming to you with a baby, say no.

If leaving your house in general feels like too much because you have a newborn and you're still recovering and you just don't want to use up your energy to leave the house, just simply say no!

Do what feels right for you.

It's taken me YEARS to learn this. And to be honest, I still struggle but I've gotten so much better.I figured I'd share my experience with you in hopes you don't have to go through the stress and anxiety that I've gone through.

You need to do what feels right for YOU, regardless of what other people think. Their response to your decisions is on them and you have no control of that.

The only thing you can control is yourself and your own life with your beautiful family.

If you are one of those people who can go out and about with a new baby and not stress about the germs or social interactions, go for it! Do what makes you feel your best.

But in case you need permission to simplify this year and just say no to burn out, here it is:) I give you full permission to put your mental health above everything else.

You're worth it.

with love,

Jessalyn
